Nach zwei Jahren Entwicklungszeit ist die Version 4.00 des Nmap Security Scanners [1] freigegeben, das Changelog weist 230 Verbesserungen und Erweiterungen auf. Dazu gibt’s ein längeres Interview [2] mit dem Autor auf securityfocus.com „to discuss the new port scanning engine, version detection improvements, and the new stack fingerprinting algorithm under work by the community.“
